barack obama, mitt romney, joke, president, contest, ACElectMeIn honor of the upcoming presidential election, AmericasComedy.Com has put together a contest to crown our own 2012 Comedian-in-Chief.

As the winner, you’ll receive a gift pack of five comedy CDs/DVDs which include: Demetri Martin’s Standup Comedian, Jo Koy’s Lights Out, T.J. Miller’s No Real Reason, Kyle Cease’s I Highly Recommend This, and Myq Kaplan and Micah Sherman’s Please Be Seated.

More importantly, you’ll own bragging rights as far as the Internet can see.

- You’ll have 30 seconds to video blog your best original joke about Mitt Romney or Barack Obama and email ittweet it with the hashtag #ACElectMe or Facebook share it with us on our AmericasComedy.Com fan page.

This contest will run from October 15 – November 7 and the winner will be elected quasi-democratically by a combination of votes (the popular vote) and by AmericasComedy.Com’s staff picks (think Electoral votes).

Don’t let the news fool you, in this contest your joke videos and votes DO count.  So make sure you share your video with your fans, followers, and constituents through social media as much as possible for the greatest chance of winning.  When promoting your joke video through Twitter, use the hash tag #ACElectMe so we can help you receive more votes by retweeting it to our loyal followers.

Rules? Not many. We don’t give a shit if you curse in your jokes; just make sure they’re politically funny!  Jokes involving racial and religious hatred will not be tolerated.  As a result, your joke submission will be disqualified and will not appear on the AmericasComedy.Com YouTube channel. Approved videos will be posted on our YouTube, Facebook and Twitter accounts, with “Unique Views,” “Likes,” “Shares” and “Retweets” counted as votes.

Email your video jokes to ElectMe@AmericasComedy.Com and share them with us on Twitter and Facebook here!

Good luck, and may the funniest Comedian-in-Chief win!
